Description

Explore the little treasures of Obersaxen Mundaun. The discovery tour begins in Meierhof via the leisurely panoramic trail Misanenga, Platenga to Surcuolm. Once we arrive in Surcuolm, we stop for refreshments before continuing our hike to Lake Dachli. Enjoy nature and all its facets to the full. The trail continues through woods and fields, ascending gently back to Meierhof.

Geheimtipp

The idyllic campfire site at Dachlisee offers ideal conditions for a longer break. Pack your picnic things and enjoy the warm grilled food.

The tour should not be undertaken in uncertain weather conditions. Weather changes are frequent in the mountains. If a rain front or similar is approaching during the hike, you should turn back in good time.

Two mines were once operated in the municipality of Obersaxen Mundaun. The silver mines of Affeier and the ironworks in the Platenga-Tobel, whose 240 m long tunnel system is now open to tourists. Surselva Tourism Info Obersaxen organises guided tours to the show mine during the summer.

Three Kings Chapel Platenga, Obersaxen

The chapel in Platenga is dedicated to St. Epiphany. The feast is on January 6th. St. Epiphany is the patron saint of pilgrims and travelers; of furriers; against sorcery, epilepsy, thunderstorms and hail. Their intercession is also invoked against sudden death.
