Description

The winter hike starts at the Restaurant Sennästube on Alp Tannenboden. We follow the signpost in the direction of Chrüz past the Madils children's lift and continue on the winter hiking trail to the fork in the trail. There we take the left path and follow it. This leads along the edge of the forest, always with a panoramic view of the Madils plain. The trail ends again at Alp Tannenboden.

Hidden Gem

Stop by the alpine cheese dairy. You can also take a piece of Flumserberg home with you.

Public Transport

Travel by train to Unterterzen and up with the Unterterzen - Tannenboden cable car

Daily from Zurich with the S25 to Ziegelbrücke and change to the S4 to Unterterzen

Daily from St. Gallen with the S4 direct to Unterterzen

Daily from Zurich and Chur with the RE to Walenstadt and change to bus 444 to Unterterzen

From Unterterzen, the 8-seater cable car takes you directly to the Flumserberg to the Tannenboden LUFAG valley station.

Travel by train to Flums and Postbus to Flumserberg Tannenboden

Daily to Flums or Sargans, continue by bus 441 in the direction of Flumserberg to the bus stop Tannenboden, Dorf.

Travel Information

Take the highway exit Flums/Flumserberg and follow the main road in the direction of Flumserberg Tannenboden.

Parking

Public parking spaces available at Tannenboden.

The parking lots are chargeable from 07.00 to 17.00. From 17.00 to 02.00 we are allowed to leave the car free of charge.

After 02.00 to 07.00 there is a night parking ban. There are plenty of parking spaces at night in the Tannenboden parking garage or in the Tannenheim.

The night parking lot can be used for a fee, but camping is prohibited.
