Description

Start at the Pany ski lift, take the snow tour bus to Riedwies. Scenic circular tour through the Panyer Maiensässe with a nice mixture of open terrain (fields), woods and numerous viewpoints of the village and the whole Prättigau. Half the way to Tratza leads steadily but never steeply uphill. Refreshments in the Hofbeizli Tratza (Friday - Monday, 10.00 - 16.00, open until mid-March). The second half of the route tends to be downhill, with flat but also steeper sections.

Geheimtipp

Warm-up is provided in the restaurant Güggelstein (at car park/valley station) or Nini's Puurästübli at the start Riedwies

The Panyer snowshoe trails have different crossing points where a tour can be extended, combined or shortened. Pay attention to the signposts and take the flyer with the map of the trails with you!

Forest areas and mixed terrain: Please stay on the marked trail so as not to burden nature and wildlife additionally.

Fortify yourself at the Hofbeizli Tratza (Friday - Monday, 10.00 am - 4.00 pm, open until mid-March)

Sicherheitshinweis

The marked snowshoe trails of Pany and St.Antönien lead into the unsecured, partly alpine winter terrain. It is up to each tourer to fully equip themselves and inform themselves about the snow and avalanche conditions before the tour. Please also note the safety instructions in the flyer for the snowshoe trails and on the central information boards in Pany and St.Antönien.

The time indication is a guideline in good conditions for reasonably experienced tourers. Times for snowshoe tours can vary greatly depending on conditions, equipment and condition. Plan enough time and start early for the planned tour!

This tour description and the marking in the terrain do not represent a tour recommendation. Each inspection decision is the sole responsibility of the individual tourer. An inspection in poor visibility conditions (fog, snowfall, etc.) or in the event of an increased avalanche danger is strongly discouraged. Attention spring conditions: From about March and generally on warm and /or very sunny days, tours must be ended early.

Ausrüstung

Well-functioning snowshoes, poles with winter plates, good footwear, winter-proof clothing. The wind can reduce the perceived temperature sensitively in winter: don't forget winter gloves, hat, thermos, etc.!

It is recommended to carry complete winter touring equipment including avalanche transceivers on the marked snowshoe trails of Pany and St.Antönien as well as generally on all tours in open alpine terrain.
