Description
This hike over the highest excursion mountain of Arosa offers an overview of the entire hiking and ski area. The starting point is the middle station of the Arosa-Weisshorn cable car. From here, the path leads steadily uphill through a meadow and moss landscape with wide-ranging views into the Schanfigg valley. The final climb to the summit from the Sattelhütte (unmanaged in summer) mostly leads through rocky terrain. At the Weisshorn, you will find a 360° mountain panorama and the summit restaurant. A similarly steep descent follows towards the Carmennahütte. The path then leads back through meadows into the valley past the Alpenblick excursion restaurant to Innerarosa. Here, a detour to the Bergkirchli is worthwhile, as well as a visit to the Schanfigg local history museum (observe opening hours).
