The Bronze Age hill of Crestaulta appears eerie and fascinating at the same time. The settlement was inhabited between 2000 and 1200 BC and is considered one of the oldest in the inner Alpine region.

Description
In the Val Lumnezia you will find many powerful natural places. The hike takes you from one power spot to another. Perhaps you will feel the different energy qualities or even find long-sought answers to certain questions.
From Vrin, you first walk on a field path through lush meadows, then through a species-rich mixed forest down to the river Glogn. At the bridge, a narrow hiking trail leads up to the former mill of Surin (39). Return to the bridge and go towards Surin. About 300 m west of the village lies a conspicuously flattened hill called Crestaulta (40). Excavations prove a Bronze Age settlement. The hike continues through Surin, Pruastg Dadens, and Pruastg Dado. Above Pruastg Dado, the hiking trail crosses the new suspension bridge to Silgin. In Silgin, you can visit the Caplutta da Sogn Bistgaun (41).
From Silgin, you have the option to continue the hike towards Surcasti/Uors or to return via the covered wooden bridge down in the valley towards Lumbrein.
39. The mill, whose wall remains are still visible today, was built at the beginning of the 17th century. Research shows that it was in operation from about 1670 to 1941.
40. The settlement Crestaulta was continuously inhabited between 2000 and 1200 BC and is considered one of the oldest in the inner Alpine region. The fascinating finds are exhibited in the Rhaetian Museum in Chur. Various indications suggest a cult and judicial site with destructive values. Sensitive people feel uncomfortable at this place and notice the withdrawing forces.
41. The chapel Sogn Bistgaun was consecrated in 1643. A predecessor building from the 16th century is very likely. It is assumed that a building was already present around 1500. The indications show high, yet unbalanced and disharmonious values.
The Research Center for Power Places Switzerland tested 66 special sites in the region in cooperation with Lumnezia Tourism and documented them in 12 hiking routes. Information about the routes can be found in the book "Places of Magic", which is available at the Vella information office.
