Description
Lime tree (place of power): Together with St. Martin's Church, the beautiful lime tree is the landmark of Gretschins. Tradition attests to its great age; it is said to have been planted during the plague in the 17th century on the grave of seven Hansen who all died of the plague on the same day. The lime tree has high energy levels of good, digestible quality. Sit on the bench under the tree and recharge your batteries.
Gretschins church: The interior of the Romanesque church is somewhat surprisingly sober. On 11.11., St. Martin's Day, the sunlight falls through the choir windows onto the altar at sunrise. The builders erected the early churches according to pre-Christian tradition, aligned with the stars, on powerful squares. The church's place of power is located under the church tower, and its quality suggests an ancient place of worship.
Wartau castle ruins (place of power): Archaeological excavations between 1980 and 1990 point to a ten-thousand-year history of settlement with increasing population density and another settlement site below the Wartau castle ruins in the Herrenfeld. The site of the medieval castle complex with a view over the Rhine Valley is separated from the Ochsenberg by a natural depression. We approach the ruins via the castle courtyard. Here you will notice the draw well and the large, pointed rock. Sit down by the well and on the large stone. The stone has an extraordinarily powerful energy of good quality. You can recharge your batteries here.
Brochna Castle and Heidenkirche (power place): The foundation walls of Brochna Castle date back to the middle of the 12th century. When the remains of the walls were uncovered in 1977/78, a Neolithic settlement site was discovered next to the castle on one of the Schratt limestone blocks. The vertically sloping castle rock is separated from the rest of the rock by a wide cleft. Both the castle and the settlement site exhibit high levels of energy, the qualities of which are built up and broken down in the castle.
