This marked snowshoe trail for families and beginners passes by brown burnt barns and opens at its highest point a beautiful view of Tenna and the mighty Piz Beverin.
Details
Description
From Tenna Mitte, the tour starts initially over a long hill just below the Underhütta. After a short traverse, it goes comfortably on the alp road to the highest point at Bleichta. The panorama extends here over the entire Safiental up to the Calanda. Reason enough for a long break at the barn.
Now the route leads down a steeper ridge to the "Boda" and later along the "Stegelzun" - a Walser pasture fence - to the church.
Hidden Gem
A visit to the church in Tenna is worthwhile.
Food: Berghotel Alpenblick, Pistenbeizli Tenna at the solar ski lift, Volg Village Shop Tenna
Safety Note
This snowshoe tour is marked in the terrain with pink posts but is not tracked. There are no steeper slopes that are avalanche-prone. However, in case of high avalanche danger, tours in unsecured terrain must fundamentally be avoided.
On WhiteRisk you can learn more about the current avalanche danger.
For worry-free enjoyment on longer tours, we recommend our mountain guides and snowshoe hiking guides of Surselva.
Equipment
Well-functioning snowshoes, poles with winter baskets, good footwear, winter-appropriate clothing. The wind can significantly lower the perceived temperature in winter: don't forget winter gloves, hat, thermos bottle, etc.
