Description

This magnificent hike along romantic mountain lakes is especially suitable for experienced mountain hikers. Because as impressive as the path is with its views, the demands it places on its visitors are just as high. The route starts in Sils on the opposite side of the street from the Beach Club restaurant. With solid fitness and sure footing, a seventh heaven is open to you. After the strenuous 800-meter steep ascent, the reward could not be more beautiful. The crystal-clear and secluded Lej da la Tscheppa and the unique view of the opposite glacier mountains are a feast for the eyes of the highest quality. The route leads back to Sils on the former Strada Romana high above Lake Silvaplana. The old mule track over the Julier Pass and further to Sils was once a frequently used alternative to the more well-known but steeper and more dangerous Septimer route.
