Description

Snowfarming is part of snow management. In Davos, a pile of snow has been covered with sawdust each spring since 2008. This snow is used in the fall to prepare a cross-country ski trail before new snow can be produced. By covering the snow, about 70-80% of the snow volume is preserved. This guarantees an early start of the season regardless of the temperatures in autumn.

The 4 km snowfarming trail will be open again from Saturday, October 31, 2020. It can be used by athletes and amateurs alike.
