When we get off the train on the Oberalp Pass, the first thing we notice is the lighthouse, which stands here as a symbol and representative of the source of the Rhine. However, we hike in the opposite direction to the Pass Tiarms, where we already reach the highest point of the tour. It is now easy to go downhill, first into the Val Val, then on a high-altitude path and past pretty mountain pastures in Scharinas to Milez. The flag of the Bergbeizlis Tegia las Palas is hoisted, a good sign! We stop and take our time to enjoy the wonderful view of the villages of Rueras and Sedrun.

On the way it goes via Mulinatsch and above Rueras further to Sedrun. If you want, make a detour down to the village.

Otherwise, we always stay close to the railway line and we cross the impressive viaduct at Bugnei. In Mompé Tujetsch we already see Disentis and in Segnas we admire the pretty farmhouses that were built in the typical Walser Strickbau. In Acletta we visit the church of Maria Immaculata . The altarpiece by the master Francesco Nuvolone, which was created in Milan in 1655, is well known.

On low-traffic roads and side roads we end the hike. Past the valley station of the cable cars and the sports centre until we reach Disentis station.

Hike with light luggage, it always has refreshment stops along the way.

Fairtrail: Hikers share the trail with mountain bikers in sections.

Hiking poles are always recommended for valley hikes.

From the train station on the Oberalp Pass, we first orient ourselves to the buildings of the military. We follow the signs for Senda Sursilvana No. 85. This is how we reach the pass of Tiarms. This is followed by a descent into Val Val. We reach a road that leads to Milez. We follow the signs downhill. After a short stretch of hiking we reach a paved road. We follow this until the first big right turn, where we turn left. A hiking trail now leads over the Milar stream, first down and then back up. So we reach a road again. We follow this until shortly before the train stop in Rueras. Now turn left. Before the next left turn we branch off over a meadow to the right. At the first houses we follow the Quartierstrasse always to the east until we reach the station Sedrun. After the train station we follow a very short distance of the railway line. Then we can cross under the tracks, and then branch off to the right. From there, the path leads more or less everything above the railway line to Segnas. In Segnas we follow the signs to Acletta. From the church in Acletta it goes on district paths down to the cable car station, past the sports center to the train station Disentis.
