Description
A fire pit on the hiking trail and two fire pits at Lake Panixer (with grill grate, wood) invite you to have a picnic. The unusual historical monument at the dam commemorates the retreat of the Russian Field Marshal Suworow, who in 1799, while fleeing from the French army crossing the Panixer Pass in a snowstorm, lost many soldiers, horses, and almost all war equipment.
After the gentle ascent to Lake Panixer (Romansh "Lag da Pigniu") and during the enjoyable circuit of the romantically situated reservoir, you will be able to admire the waterfalls cascading down deeply.
