In addition to the permanent exhibition on Nietzsche, there are always temporary exhibitions of modern art

Description

The exhibition includes a rich collection of photographs and documents, manuscripts and letters from his Sils period, the original death mask, various busts (Max Kruse, Willy de Boe), musical scores, and a complete collection of the works published by Nietzsche himself during his lifetime, including rare dedicatory copies. In addition, there is documentation on the forgeries committed by Nietzsche's sister and on Nietzsche's time as a professor in Basel (the Basel parlor with original furnishings and documents from his Basel period from 1869 to 1879). In 2025, the 125th anniversary of Nietzsche's death, his literary estate, of which the Nietzsche House also houses significant pieces, was added to UNESCO's "Memory of the World" register. This reflects the great international interest and universal value of this legacy, which now enjoys special protection as a Memory of the World document.
