Pfarrkirche St. Antonius
Building and pleasant place of strength

Description

The parish church of St. Anthony, built between 1880 and 1882, is a peaceful and pleasant "place of power". Note the ambiance here. The energy rays are positive and agreeable. They allow us to rest and revive. As the structure was built almost in perfect proportion to the golden section, this accounts for a sense of space, light and positive energy which in turn lead to feelings of peace and well-being. Also take note of the Madonna by the church exit. What do you feel here? St. Anthony's Church replaced St Luke's Chapel, demolished in 1880, which stood somewhat to the west of the church today. Its ancient predecessor, the in 980 documented Wangs Estate Chapel, was presented to Kloster Einsiedeln (monastery) by Kaiser Otto II in the same year. It is not surprising that we do not find a "place of power" in the newly built 19th century house of God. The significant St. Luke's Chapel did not stand on the same site but most likely stood on a "place of power". Old lore had not yet reached the new times, churches were no longer constructed in alignment with natural energy fields. To finish your trip, visit Pfarrer Künzle's grave. The differences he made in his lifetime merit our admiration.
