Event Arosa Lenzerheide
Bergkirchli-Konzert mit Stoltz, Corti & Jonkers

Description
Vienna – Buenos Aires Chamber music from Viennese Classicism to Belle Époque Anton Diabelli was not only an important Viennese music publisher but also an excellent guitarist. He left behind a large oeuvre for guitar, both solo works and chamber music with guitar in various ensembles.Franz Hasenöhrl and Alfred Uhl are also both Viennese composers. Both wrote their compositions in the interwar period, with - quite curiously - Uhl having composed a tango for his “Kleine Suite”. Although the tango originally comes from Buenos Aires, the Brazilian composer Ernesto Nazareth also composed tangos, the so-called “Tangos brasileiros”. He also used the Viennese waltz as a template to compose an Argentine waltz (Valsa argentina). After the tango almost fell into oblivion after World War II, Astor Piazzolla is celebrated in the second half of the 20th century as the great innovator of the tango.Liesl Stoltz, flute - Nicolas Corti, viola - Han Jonkers, guitar
