BLANCO TETA Concert | Rock Experimental | Punk

Blanco Teta is an experimental rock project with the aggressiveness and simplicity of punk, but with an interesting twist: relentlessly distorted soundscapes, edgy performances, a transfeminist concept with an avant-garde approach.
Based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, it was born in 2017 to find a unique sound with an atypical instrumentation marked by the presence of the processed cello. Blanco Teta consists of Carola Zelaschi on drums, Carlos Quebrada on electric bass, Violeta García on cello and vocals, and Josefina Barreix on vocals.
Their first album "BLANCO TETA" was released on cassette in 2017 under the record label TVLREC, and during 2019 they recorded their second album, which was released in March 2020 through the label GOZARECORDS.

The band represents a significant movement that connects with other transfeminist and experimental collectives from the emerging queer Latin American scene. Growing on the foundation of numerous performances in renowned venues of the Buenos Aires experimental scene, they have expanded their musical influence.

Blanco Teta expanded her radius of action in 2019 with a first tour in Uruguay and undertook her first European tour in 2022. They have performed in various countries and at festivals such as Fusion Festival (DE), Valkof Festival (NL), Welcome to the Village Festival (NL), Nordanpaunk Festival (ISL) and Antwerp Queer Festival (BE).

In November 2022, they released an impressive live session for KEXP that reflected their artistic approach from Argentina. This summer they crown their career so far with the release of their third album "ROMPEPAGA", released by the renowned Swiss label Bongo Joe.
