Singing touches people, is international and knows no age.
The mixed Graubünden senior citizens' choir CANZIANO is a success story. Founded in 2009 on the initiative of Pro Senectute, the choir with its approximately 80 singers has since performed regularly in the valleys of Graubünden and at various locations in Switzerland under the direction of Rico Peterelli, often together with first-class soloists or musicians: this year the two soloists Lisa Stoll, alphorn and Fabienne Romer on the grand piano enrich the concerts. The two award-winning musicians are performing together more and more often in concerts. They regularly perform works composed especially for alphorn and piano by Rico Peterelli in their concerts, e.g. at the 'Stubete am See' 2024 at the Tonhalle Zurich.
The vocal ensemble i Cantarelli (conductor: Rico Peterelli) completes the varied musical program on the concert evenings, which one can look forward to.
The choir is led by Rico Peterelli and Alexandra Peterelli as deputy conductor and accompanied by the Rondo Canziano, the choir's own 10-piece orchestra.
As usual, the program includes well-known and unknown Swiss songs in all national languages and dialect hits - all by professional musician, composer and conductor Rico Peterelli especially for CANZIANO! arranged.
