Following the screening of PALAZZINA LAF – the film about the ILVA steel mill in the heavily polluted city of Taranto – SRF radio correspondent in Rome, Franco Battel, talks to the audience. The focus is on social issues that shape his reporting and our neighboring country Italy: politics and migration, social issues and – based on the film – the challenges of the world of work, especially in the south of the country.

The film PALAZZINA LAF by Michele Riondino (IT 2023) tells the story of rebellious workers at the ILVA steel mill in the city of Taranto (Puglia), who were isolated and silenced in a separate factory building.

The event takes place as part of a thematic cooperation with the Chur Theatre, which will take up the history of heavy industry in Taranto in February with the play ILVA FOOTBALL CLUB and will also present a panel discussion in cooperation with the Pro Grigioni Italiano Coira.
