For some years now, the work of Christine Lavant (1915 – 1973) has been receiving new attention. Her idiosyncrasy and strength as a poet and as a storyteller is her incorruptible view of those with whom fate has been less kind. She herself remained part of what she wrote about throughout her life – under enormously difficult conditions.
