The duo fiarco tells the story of the bravery of a young girl who knows how to help herself in a difficult situation. The humorous and warm-hearted production is a reminder of how good it is to have friends and family. This applies not only to Little Red Riding Hood and the audience, but also to the wolf. Because even he finds a happy ending in this version of the well-known fairy tale.

A concert fairy tale for children that uses puppet theatre and the music of Antonio Vivaldi to retell Little Red Riding Hood's world full of sparkling liveliness. The production also gives a young audience a playful and pleasurable access to classical music.

The chosen pictorial narrative style allows for a humorous, sometimes comic-like depiction of the events of the well-known fairy tale. With a printed roll of paper clamped in a kind of peep box, Little Red Riding Hood's path takes place before the eyes of the audience. The role is operated by the musicians by foot pedal and thus the sequence of images is controlled, which allows the duo fiarco to make music at the same time.

Not only painted pictures pass before the eyes of the audience with musical illustrations, but also the puppet play enriches the story with theatrical surprises. Perforations in the paper bring the pictures to life, objects come to light tangibly or disappear in the picture.

Lorena Dorizzi (cello) and Martina Jucker (flute) are professionally trained musicians, have already realized many concerts together and together form the Duo fiarco. Through their work at the Herisau Music School, where both have been teaching for over ten years, both have a lot of experience in and a basic understanding of music education and working with children.
In addition to making music together, the two are united by the desire to pass on the joy of classical music to children. In this way, they develop joint projects to enable even the youngest to have a playful and thus pleasurable encounter with classical music.
