PIANO TRIO VALERIY SOKOLOV & FRIENDS

Born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, VALERIY SOKOLOV is one of the world's most outstanding violinists. After studying in London, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Vienna, he performed with major orchestras all over the world and played chamber music with various renowned soloists. Since winning the international George Enescu Competition in Bucharest in 2005, he has performed in Europe, the USA and Canada and in the Far East. In addition to his concert activities, he is currently Professor of Violin at the Yehudi Menuhin School in London. Valeriy Sokolov is no stranger to the Engadine. In 2021, he thrilled the audience as a soloist of SINFONIA with Beethoven's Violin Concerto.

ELLA VAN POUCKE is one of the leading cellists of her generation. The 31-year-old began playing the cello at the age of six. At the age of ten, she was admitted to the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and later studied at the Amsterdam Conservatory. As a passionate chamber musician, the multiple award winner works with the world's leading musicians. Since 2022, the 31-year-old cellist has been Professor of Violoncello at the Amsterdam Conservatory.

The pianist JEAN-PAUL GASPARIAN, born in Paris in 1995, is considered one of the most promising talents. The graduate of the Royal College of Music in London is a multiple prize winner. With his playing and artistic sensitivity, he quickly conquered the international stage and his enthusiastic audiences. Jean-Paul Gasparian is a regular guest at renowned festivals such as La Roque-d'Anthéron, Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad, Schleswig-Holstein Festival or Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
