Dr. Thomas Häusler studied biochemistry at the Biozentrum of the University of Basel and at the Center for Molecular Biology at the University of Heidelberg. He also studied journalism at the Berlin School of Journalism. He has been working as a science journalist for print media, radio and television for around 25 years. In the last 15 years of his journalistic career, he worked as a science editor and reporter at Swiss Radio SRF. He has received several awards for his work.

He has been pursuing this field for over 20 years, has written two books and numerous articles on the subject, and has produced radio reports and a film on behalf of the Swiss Academy of Sciences.
