Schesaplana 2965m / 2 Tage

Day 1

The small cable car takes us from Malans to pretty mountain inns Älpli (1787m). After a short stop high above the Bündner Herrschaft, we start hiking. Over the Jeninser and Mainenfeld Alps we reach the pretty Vorderscht See (1891m). Now our path becomes increasingly steeper and we reach the Bartümeljoch (2314m). After the short detour to Austria, we return home via the Gross Furgga (2358m). Now it's not far away. On the panoramic Prättigauer Höhenweg we reach the pleasantly guided Schesaplanahütte.

Day 2

Early in the morning and freshly strengthened by a rich breakfast, we start the day. Surprisingly elegant, the Schweizerweg stretches up through the south face. Climbing challenges our concentration and is fun. Finally we reach the imposing scree field that stretches up to the summit of the Schesaplana (2965m). Overwhelmed by the impressive view, the alpine descent also challenges our climbing skills once again. A wire rope helps us down through the sloping gully. Back on Austrian terrain, the Kaiserschmarrn beckons us. For this we are happy to accept the detour to Totalp. Finally, we return to the Schesaplana hut via the Gamslugga (2374m). From here we take the scooter down into the valley. If you want, you can experience around 1300 meters of downhill fun to the train station in Seewis-Pardisla.

Requirements: Sufficient fitness, surefootedness and a head for heights must also be present in unpaved and slightly exposed terrain. Short scrambles have to be mastered, max. T4.

Meeting point: Saturday, 16.08.2025 at 08:44 a.m., Malans valley station Älplibahn / GR

Arrival: Individual

Return journey: Sunday 17.08.2025 at 5:25 p.m. from Seewis Dorf, Bühelstrasse or Seewis-Pardisla train station at 5:38 p.m.

Food/drink: During the day we eat from the backpack, if necessary a packed lunch can be ordered the evening before. Marsh tea is available from the cottage.

Overnight: We spend the night in a shared room of the Schesaplana hut. The use of a silk sleeping bag is mandatory

Costs: CHF 310.- / CHF 319.- (without SAC membership)

Included: One overnight stay with half board and two professionally guided hikes by hiking guide FA.

Exclusive: drinks, lunch, material, mountain railway, scooter rental and public transport

Number of participants: 4 - 6 people

Registration / Payment: Registration on Lieblingsberge.ch until 11.08.2025 / After paying the costs via IBAN or Twint, your registration is final.

Implementation: The program will be adapted to the conditions. The tour can only be cancelled by the organization. In this case, you will receive a message by text message two days before the tour.

Prevention on your part: No refunds can be made, find a suitable person who can replace you and take out cancellation insurance for illness and accident.
