Description
It is January 17, 1912, when the expedition of the Englishman Robert Falcon Scott reached the South Pole at the South Pole and, to their horror, they saw the Norwegian flag waving in the Antarctic wind from afar. They were one of the two expeditions that wanted to discover the South Pole, one of the then undiscovered parts of our earth. Only the other expedition around the Norwegian Roald Amundsen had already reached him first 5 weeks earlier. Exhausted by the exertions, the disappointment of not being the first took away their last strength. Due to the emerging icy hurricane, they made their way back. The sad reality is that they didn't make it. Robert Falcon Scott's found diaries later tell the world which interconnected events led to her tragic end and how she was remembered by posterity.
We transfer this story, the spirit of discovery, the courage, the camaraderie and the thoughts of loved ones at home, to the year 2026 and head to the wintry Ruinaulta with today's spirit of discovery.
An expedition that invites you to feel the icy crunch of the snow under your feet, to hear your own breath in the cold winter sun, to follow the narrow path through the wintry gorge and listen to the stories of the expeditionary spirit of Ernst Bromeis, while actor and Graubünden native with heart, Gian Rupf, recites from the diary and letters of Robert Falcon Scott to Kathleen, all along the glacier-colored water of the Vorderrhein.

Ernst Bromeis - Water Ambassador
Ernst Bromeis has been an expedition swimmer and water ambassador for years. His water journeys took him 1200 km through the entire Rhine across Europe to the North Sea. His swimming adventures began in the springs of Graubünden and took him from Lake Victoria in Africa to the largest freshwater sea in the world, the mystical Lake Baikal in Siberia, where he immersed himself in unknown water worlds. Bromeis was awarded the prestigious "Prix Eco" for his achievements. He has appeared as a speaker at the World Water Forum in Dakar, Senegal, and at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Ernst Bromeis embodies an independent, courageous and sustainable vision for the protection of water.
