What is the secret behind this phenomenon? After his award-winning feature documentary "Rocksteady: The Roots of Reggae", Stascha Bader embarks on a search for traces of Bern's musical identity. Starting from clichés, he discovers formative folk songs and authors of the past. What began as a musical search for clues turns out to be a journey to the roots of our common social identity. Because the voices from Bern have not been telling and singing their way into our collective consciousness for decades, but for centuries. A journey through the present and history of the Bernese dialect scene, in which we meet greats such as Steff La Cheffe, Christine Lauterburg, Gölä, Trauffer, Greis, Baze, Serej, Poul Prügu, Stahlberger, Mario Batkovi? and many more.
