Workshop "Healing products from the forest"

We encounter the forest from a slightly different perspective: from the proven healing effects of forest plants to forest knowledge that has not yet been researched to myths. Cesandra Plangger is a phytotherapist, studied herbal medicine and runs the "stiveta d'earvas" in Andeer. On an excursion, she shows us what remains hidden from our eyes during a normal walk in the woods. On the one hand, it is about the numerous invisible helpers that connect trees with each other and make their survival possible in the first place: the "mycorrhiza" fungi underground. In addition, Cesandra also tells special legends and stories, which round off our mystical foray through the forest.

During the excursion, Cesandra will repeatedly draw our attention to the healing properties of individual trees and forest plants. We will learn to identify some of them, collect them and make a healing spruce tip honey and spices from them after the excursion.

Every year, the Beverin Nature Park organises training courses for multipliers. In keeping with the annual theme 2024 "Gòld – Forest", this time we are deepening our knowledge about the forest and its medicinal plants and getting inspiration on how we can incorporate this into our own excursions in order to further refine them. The course is aimed at excursion leaders, teachers and hiking guides, but is of course open to all interested parties!
