Description

Over more than 250 kilometers, the Graubünden Pilgrimage Route connects the east with the west side of the canton – from Müstair to Mustér (Disentis). In between lie impressive valleys such as the Münstertal, the quiet Susaunatal, the wild Schanfigg, and the culturally rich Cadi. Four alpine passes – Costainas, Scaletta, Strela, and Chrüzli – demand fitness but reward with impressive landscapes and authentic Graubünden villages.

Each region tells its own story – in language, religion, and culture. The route becomes a journey through the diversity of Graubünden – a small reflection of Europe.

Along the way, you encounter traces of the Pilgrimage Route: medieval evidence in Müstair, the Pilgrimage Church in Tschiertschen, or the mural in the Cathedral of Chur. The Cadi before Disentis also presents itself as a historically significant pilgrimage space. From Disentis, the route continues into the Urnerland and merges with the national Route 4, the ViaJacobi.

Here you will find the stages that lead through the Surselva:

Stage 16: Brigels (Andiast) - Trun

Stage 17: Trun - Disentis

Safety Note

The route should not be started in uncertain weather conditions. Weather changes in the mountains are common. If a rain front or something similar approaches during the hike, you should turn back in time.
