Description
Start at Obersee and follow Maranerstrasse to the road bend above Haus Prätschwald. Then follow the forest path for about 40 minutes to the forest road towards Ochsenalp. After a 10-minute walk, the path to Langwies viewpoint branches off to the right. From there you can see the idyllic Walser village of Langwies and its famous viaduct as well as the upper Schanfigg. Then it goes for about 1.5 hours along the forest road to Ochsenalp. There you can indulge yourself with various homemade specialties. According to the motto "patschifig"! "Patschifig" means "cozy" in the canton of Graubünden. Refreshed, continue over the Roten Tritt past Prätschalp to Maran. From Hof Maran you start the final stage via the Eichhörnliweg back to Obersee.
Hidden Gem
Treat yourself to a short break at the Maran dairy. From the sales room, you can watch the cheesemakers at their daily work.

Public Transport
The RhB - Rhaetian Railway runs hourly from Chur to Arosa. Upon arrival at Arosa station, you are directly at the starting point of the hike.
