Chestnut path Murg

The 2.5 km long path leads from the village in the direction of the Murg valley, through old chestnut forests, past the freshly planted Selve, along a young chestnut stand for the production of chestnut wood, back to the starting point. On the way, it is worth taking a detour to the wildly romantic Murgbach Gorge and the thundering waterfall. The path is decorated with various wooden sculptures. Along the way, you can learn interesting facts about Switzerland's largest chestnut forest north of the Alps on display boards. Between approx. In mid-September and mid-October, there is a chance to find ripe sweet chestnuts on the ground along the trail.
