Description
From the sun-drenched mountain village of Feldis, the trail leads via Plaun Ground and the Feldiser Alp to the Leg Palus mountain lake. The view of the Chur Rhine Valley and the mountain world with the Tödi, Calanda massif and Ringelspitze is magnificent. But it is also worth taking a look at the meadows, as the alpine flora here is particularly rich in treasures. The destination and turning point of the hike is the Dreibündenstein (2,160 m above sea level). The Dreibündenstein marks the only common border point of the former three Rhaetian Confederations, which existed until 1798. The original boundary stone from 1722 is now in the Rhaetian Museum in Chur. In 1915 it was replaced by the Rhaetia section of the Swiss Alpine Club with a two-metre-high obelisk. The striking stone is a wonderful place to rest and enjoy the mountain scenery. The panorama extends from the mountains over Arosa and Lenzerheide to the UNESCO World Heritage Tectonic Arena Sardona. Via Term Bell and Culm Ault, the route leads to Alp dil Plaun and then past the ski hut back to Feldis with views of Domleschg, Heinzenberg and the mighty Piz Beverin.
During the operating hours of the Feldis - Mutta chairlift, the Dreibündenstein hike can be shortened with a chairlift ride. And: the journey with the Rhäzüns - Feldis aerial cableway high above the Rhäzüns Rhine meadows is an insider tip.
