Trail Tales: Fimberpass
Many things in life are urgent. But only a few of them are important. It was US-president Eisenhower, who recommended to focus on the latter ones. And for us, this was to get on our mountain bikes and ride across Fimberpass.

Description

The tour begins in Scuol with a Postbus ride to Samnaun. From there, take the gondola lift to the Alptrider Sattel and then the chair lift to the Viderjoch. Follow the ridgeway to the Salaaser Kopf summit, at first along gravel paths and then on singletrail. You will then come to the path to the Zeblasjoch, where singletrail lead into the Fimba valley. The ascent to the Heidelberger mountain lodge follows an alpine lane. Alternatively, you can take a more challenging route from the Zeblasjoch onto the Fuorcla Val Grona and make a singletrail descent that leads to the path up to Fimber Pass. For the stretch, you will have to push your bike. From the pass, the descent is rough and technical until it merges into a lane toward Griosch near an alp. The route leads over several suspension bridges and a top-class trail, then further on to the bridge near Hotel Sinestra and the ridgeway over the ravine to Ramosch. Bike alongside the inn to continue on back to Scuol.
