Description
The Pizol area is known for its breathtaking view over the St. Gallen Rhine Valley to Lake Constance. Nowhere can the view be enjoyed as undisturbed as on the highest peaks of the hiking area. The hike to the Garmil is part of the summit quartet on the Pizol. The stages Garmil, Gamidauerspitz, Hochwart and Pizol can all be walked independently of each other, but can also be popularly combined.
On the hike to the Garmil we experience exciting insights and views into the UNESCO World Heritage Tectonic Arena Sardona. Information boards partly line the path and you will learn interesting facts about geology on the way.
The view from the summit of the surrounding mountains and the Sarganserland is simply breathtaking. Flora and fauna can be admired particularly beautifully at the beginning of summer.
Geheimtipp
The Berghotel Gaffia is the ideal overnight accommodation and starting point for this tour, especially for combinations of the summit quartet.
