Description

You can get to the start of the hike very clumsily with the Hörnligondel. From the Hörnli mountain station, you can start with the scenically impressive circular hike.

A winding hiking trail leads you from the Hörnli down to the crystal-clear Urdensee. The Urdensee is located at 2,249 m above sea level. When the sun is shining, the lake shimmers turquoise blue, almost magical.

The hiking trail continues to Alp Innerurden. Afterwards, the Urder Alpweg leads you to the "Löser" to the lowest point of the hike.

The path leads through the forest, sometimes steeper, sometimes less steep, always uphill. As soon as you get above the tree line, it now winds flatter up to the Ochsenalp and offers a breathtaking view of the Schanfigg valley. Afterwards you can enjoy the hike between blueberry bushes and juniper bushes over the Scheidegg, past the idyllic Scheideggsee to the Prätschli. From Prätschli the bus goes back to the village of Arosa. If you walk to the centre, you can return to Arosa through the forest via Prätschlistrasse.

Geheimtipp

Enjoy the Graubünden Alps gastronomy with rustic and traditional dishes that are freshly made daily from regional products.  Enjoy moments of peace and relaxation in the unique natural scenery at Bergbeizli Ochsenalp.

Sicherheitshinweis

Correct behaviour when hiking

- Do not leave the officially marked hiking trails

- Small steps and steady pace save strength uphill and protect the joints downhill

- Never lean the upper body backwards when descending (risk of slipping)

- Even without thirst, drinking is important, because the feeling of thirst lags behind the fluid requirement

- No risk in case of bad weather, malaise (weakness) or other difficulties
