Description

Most people take the gondola lift to reach the Jakobshorn summit, but the ascent can also be done by bike. To do this you drive on the pleasantly ascending alpine road to Clavadeleralp and from there via the Jatz Hut to the summit of the Jakobshorn. The descending trail begins here, which initially leads through sloping terrain to the Brämabüel summit. The view from here on Davos and Lake Davos is outstanding. From here, the long and fun single trail begins that leads to Dischmatal. After Alp Stillberg, the path runs into the forest and becomes more challenging than in the open alpine terrain. Finally, you reach the bottom of the valley, but the route still isn’t over yet. After a short stretch on the mountain road on the opposite side of the valley, you climb 170 altitude metres until the single trail back to Davos starts in a right-hand serpentine. This trail is fun to drive, but leads over many roots in numerous places - making it particularly challenging in wet weather. Finally, you reach the Büelenquartier, from where you can cycle back to Davos on a trail along the golf course.
