Details
Description
The mineral water path «tras il god» goes through the forest up to San Jon. The circular route starts in front of the guest information Scuol and leads over the Gurlaina bridge and then about 250 meters altitude gain to the San Jon riding stable. After a short break, the route goes up a few more meters to the fountain of Funtana Cotschna, where thirst can be quenched with lightly mineralized water. Looking over the brook behind at a rock wall, the waterfall of the mineral spring can be seen. Now it goes a bit back and then right through a light forest. There you meet the San Jon Dadaint spring, which consists of several small water basins and forms a stair-like tufa spring downward. Past this, the route goes to the lowest point of the hike – to the Lischana spring. The magnesium-rich spring is very popular with athletes and flows on demand. The path leads over the Inn up to the PostAuto stop «Scuol, Serras», where the road turns right. After about 400 meters, the huge tufa spring of Runà can be seen on the left over the meadow near a farm. The path leads back to the stop and from there through the old village part Scuol Sot. At the fountains Plaz and Bügl Grond, the mineral waters Sotsass and Chalzina/Tulai can be tasted. Finally, the circular path ends again at the starting point.
The mineral water path «tras il god» can also be well managed by mountain bike (easier ascent on the road to San Jon). However, the section to the San Jon Dadaint spring is excluded. Here, visitors are asked to leave their bike standing, walk to the spring, and continue the route on the lower path. Thank you very much for your consideration.
