Details

Description

The shortest stage of the Segnes Trek leads to the Glarus region. At the beginning the descent is steep, but soon the path becomes flatter. In the back you have the Tschingelhörner with the Martinsloch, only this time from the other side. At Alp Tschinglen at 1482 m there is the Tschinglen inn and some old stables. But the stream also invites you to take a break before climbing the 500 meters to the Martinsmadhütte. This trail is rocky and challenging (T3). The lovingly furnished SAC mountain hut is a little gem, surrounded by imposing mountain scenery.

Alternative route

Alpine hiking trail (T4) Tschinglen-Wirtschaft - Mittagshorn - Martinsmadhütte : 5 km / 2h 35 min / ascent 940 m / descent 415 m

Geheimtipp

If you like it more challenging on this day, take the alpine hiking trail (T4) via Mittagshorn 2415 m to the Martinsmadhütte.
