Description
The ascent from St. Martin to the Heitelpass leads along the alpine path through shady fir forest to the Malanseralp. On the ascent we have a unique view of the Ringelgruppe and the Sardona mountains. Opposite the Chüetal valley, very close by, is the rocky niche where the first 10 bearded vultures north of the Alpine ridge in Switzerland were released in 2010. It is not uncommon to see these majestic birds. The idyllically situated Heitelseeli, a wealth of flowers as far as the eye can see and the cascading waterfalls of Batöni are further highlights. Experienced eyes will also spot marmots and chamois.
Hidden Gem
The cozy dining room in the restaurant at Sankt Martin invites you to linger over a drink or a meal.
Safety Note
Special care is required depending on the weather conditions. Some sections can be very slippery, especially in wet conditions.
