Variant: Vicosoprano - Chiavenna in 2 days

6a Stage: Vicosoprano - Stampa - Promontogno
On a tour of Vicosoprano, you will come across the Pretorio (1583) and patrician houses. Cross the stone arch bridge and visit the EWZ housing estate designed by architect Bruno Giacometti. Enjoy the salsiz at Salumeria Chiesa and a slice of mascarplin. Wander through the flower-filled alleyways of Borgonovo and visit the church of San Giorgio in the same village, where the tombs of the Giacometti family of artists are located. In Stampa, the Ciäsa Granda Valley Museum will surprise you with Bergell's past and present, and in Coltura, the Palazzo Castelmur. Through the medieval "Müraia" dam, you reach Promontogno with its narrow village streets and multi-storey apartment buildings.

6b Stage: Promontogno - Bondo - Piuro - Chiavenna
Stroll through Bondo with its stately homes, palazzi and gardens, look out over the Coltüra plain with its characteristic stables, walk along the historic road to the border town of Castasegna with its neoclassical merchant houses, Villa Garbald and the red customs pavilion. Indulge in Soglio products and treat yourself to an extra loop on the chestnut nature trail. Don't miss the Cascate dell'Acqua Fraggia waterfalls in Borgonuovo, the Palazzo Vertemate Franchi in Prosto and the famous biscotti from Prosto. Hike through shady forests to the "Marmitte dei Giganti" before reaching Chiavenna on foot.
