If you are in Chur and want to go south, you traditionally have to make a decision at the Obertor: From here, the so-called Untere Strasse leads via Thusis to the Splügen and San Bernardino passes.
At the top of the mountain, decorated with a red onion roof, the tower of the church of Luven can be seen. Below, hidden among the trees, lies the old Ilanzer parish church of St. Martin on Lugnezerstrasse. The church is not open to the public.
Like the churches in Bergün and Stuls, the Reformed church in Latsch is under cantonal preservation order. It is located in the middle of the lower village.
