Classical music on the mountain "Johanna and Christoph Lamprecht" in Waltensburg

Christoph Lamprecht received cello lessons from the age of 7. He completed his bachelor's degree at the Mainz University of Music in the class of Prof. Manuel Fischer-Dieskau, completed his master's degree at the Basel Music Academy with Prof. Thomas Demenga with distinction in March 2021 and has been completing his training there since September 2021 with a Master's degree in Specialized Soloist Performance. He received important musical impulses at master classes with Prof. Walter Grimmer, Prof. Christoph Poppen and Prof. Hariolf Schlichtig, among others.
He is a multiple prize winner at Jugend musiziert, a member of the scholarship holder academy of the Neumeyer Consort for Early Music and was awarded the cultural promotion prize of the Rotary Club Mainz - Churmeyntz. In the 2020/21 season, he was engaged as deputy principal cellist at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden. He is a member of the Davidoff Trio and currently works as deputy principal cellist in the Meiningen Court Orchestra.
Johanna Lamprecht is a violist and project designer in artistic contexts. She received her artistic training from Roswitha Killian, Prof. Esther van Stralen and Prof. Ori Kam in Hamburg, Bremen and Geneva/Neuchâtel), which she completed in 2014 with a Bachelor of Music at the University of the Arts Bremen. Her master's degree "Doing culture. Education and Reflection of Cultural Processes" at Witten/Herdecke University in the fall of 2016. Since autumn 2017 she has been a doctoral student (Music Aesthetics/Philosophy) and lives and works in Basel.
Numerous chamber music and orchestral projects have allowed Johanna Lamprecht to perform in Germany and abroad. With additional studies in baroque viola with Florence Malgoire at the Centre de la musique ancienne Genève, she deepened her historical performance practice. She illustrates her creative interest in new sonority both in her engagement with contemporary music, including several world premieres, and within interdisciplinary projects, including improvisation in the Duo chrotonía, contemporary dance, performance and language. Johanna Lamprecht is a member of the interdisciplinary artist collective "Bühne heute" and completed the CAS training course "Curating Contemporary Music" at FHNW Basel in 2021.
