Evangelische Identität(en) - Themenabend in der Regulakirche

In 2025, the "Reguladonnschtig" will deal with the topic of "Protestant identity(s)", i.e. also with the ambivalence of what "Protestant" thinking and acting actually is:

People of different stripes have their say to talk about the meaning of the "Protestant" from their point of view. In the second half of the year, we want to deepen the topic by dealing with what "Protestant" can mean in other areas, including ecclesiastical art, the Catholic Church or future team cooperation. And last but not least, we want to ask ourselves what it means to be "Protestant" in the future.

"Pictures, churches, people in the 'old' diocese of Chur"

In her lecture, Simona Boscani Leoni focuses on a series of murals that were created in various churches and chapels of the former diocese of Chur between the end of the Middle Ages and the beginning of the modern era – a time of great political and confessional upheavals. What function did these paintings have from a religious, social and political point of view? What effect did the
Reformation in this respect? And how can we use these sources to understand the past and present?
