Cristina Rüesch returns with her series of prints "That I care for daisies. That we care for daisies."

On Friday, 18 July 2025, the exhibition "That I care for daisies. That we care for daisies." by Misox artist Cristina Rüesch. On display are large-format monoprints that were created this year during her stay at the Lilly Keller Foundation in Thusis and in the Haldenstein printing workshop.

Rüesch, who studied in Hamburg and Vienna and exhibits internationally, processes impressions from observations of nature, memories and artistic reflections in her paintings. The focus is on so-called "ghost prints" – afterimages of previous prints that merge with further layers of print to create lively compositions. The atmosphere and work of the artist Lilly Keller, who died in 2018, shaped Rüesch's working process in Thusis. A central motif of the current series of works is the foundation's garden – a central place for Keller as well as for Rüesch. The starting point is the motif of the picnic: natural patterns, textile structures and convivial togetherness permeate the pictures. The picnic blanket serves as a stage for multi-specific togetherness.

The series of prints is complemented by an installation of processed cardboard pedestals at the Stadtgalerie Chur, which themselves become image carriers. A collection of impressions from Cristina Rüesch's time in Graubünden and processed print residues is brought together here in an experimental way.
