Description
In addition to the theme trail with interactive stations to try out, puzzle and play, a cozy rest area invites you to linger and the caves give insight into a fascinating, often hidden, world.
In the footsteps of ore farmers and protected bats, old times come alive and nature experiences of a special kind are conveyed. In the intact and secluded landscape, nature should be experienced playfully.
The "Minas da Gulatsch" project was initiated by the Rueun Viva association in cooperation with the municipality of Ilanz/Glion and Surselva Tourismus AG. In cooperation with WWF Graubünden, the Field Mouse Protection Officer of the Canton of Graubünden and the Friends of Mining Graubünden.
Guided tours are also offered for groups, school classes and guests who want to learn about mining and the socio-cultural background of the region. Are you interested? Log in at ilanz@surselva.info.

Directions
From the bus stop "Rueun, Minas da Gulatsch" to the beginning of the themed hike, a steadily ascending gravel path leads. At the parking lot for a maximum of three cars, you will find a compost toilet and the first information boards about Minas da Gulatsch. Take the time and read the information carefully, it pays off, there are many new things for children to discover and to immerse themselves in the Romansh language in a playful way.
Afterwards, a narrow, sometimes steep nature trail leads through the forest and across small clearings to the junction that leads to the resting place or to the bat caves - including the cave of bat Rina. The path requires surefootedness and a good basic level of fitness, as some passages are demanding. The way back runs along the same route as the outward journey.
