Description
The hike begins in Flumserberg Tannenboden and initially leads above the settlement of Flumserberg to the east. To do this, first follow the signs towards Bödem on a road between holiday homes, then towards Anggetlin on a walking path. While crossing the ski slopes of the Flumserberg ski area and the Prodalpbahn, you always have a view of the mighty Churfirsten. After a small bridge, the holiday home settlement Anggetlin is reached, here follows the hike of the tarred road in some curves downwards. Now the path leads over meadows, through forests and streams down to Bödem. Here is a nice picnic area by a pond. From here you walk into the Schilstal, first even further down to Bruggwiti with the small reservoir. Continue in the direction of Wisen, first for a short time along the valley road, then on the left over alpine pastures. Shortly before the Alp Wisen you reach the valley road again, which you follow again a little bit to Steinbrugg (1163 m.a.s..M.). The signpost for Halden/Wildenberg/Schönhalden indicates that you have to turn left after 400 meters after the bridge. At this junction, the steep ascent along red-white-red markings begins. The ascent takes about 1.45 hours and leads past the alpine hut on Untercheer to the beautiful Alp Sässli. A short time later, the highest point is reached at about 1800 m above sea level.M. near Halden. The path now leads slightly downhill first as a mountain path and then as an alpine road, always with panoramic views from Spitzmeilen to Churfirsten. At the Alp Wildenberg with direct sale of alpine products you have almost reached the destination, only a few steps to the Berghotel Schönhalden with its hotel's own mountain railway.
Geheimtipp
On the terrace of the Berghotel Schönhalden you have a panoramic view of the Seeztal and the opposite peaks of the Churfirsten and Alvier chains.
