Maraner Hauptji round

The route starts flat at the Tschuggen gate through the Tschuggen forest. From the Scheitenböden the route leads up to Pratschli and to the General Guisan Platz with a pleasant incline. From there it goes steeply over the sand grounds to Scheidegg, then again pleasant up to the Maraner Hauptji. At the highest point of the route you enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of Arosa and the upper part of the Schanfigg. Now the pretty hiking trail leads through a pine forest to the middle station of the Arosa-Weisshorn cable car and past the Arosa Bear Land to the Tschuggen hut. From there the last piece goes steeply downhill on a gravel path to the Tschuggen gate.

From the Tschuggen hotel towards Scheitenböden, Pratschli and Prätschalp. Shortly before the Prätschalp - at the upper Pratschsee - steep left up to Scheidegg. From there to the Maraner Hauptji, the highest point of the running route. Then downhill to the middle station and to the Tschuggen hut and finally to the Tschuggen Grand Hotel.
