Description

From the train station, walk towards the center of the village, where the Tamina Gorge is signposted. However, the hike first takes you to the spa gardens of the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz, where you can admire the imposing redwood trees. You then hike along the wild Tamina river through the ever-narrowing ravine. At Alter Bad Pfäfers, you cross the river and reach the turnstile that lets you into the magical world of rocks. You finally reach the spring grotto via footbridges and a tunnel. From Alter Bad Präfers you take the same route back to Bad Ragaz. Alternatively, the gorge bus or the Rösslipost can be used for the return journey.

Sequoia trees (place of power): The spa gardens of the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz boast many strong, beautiful trees, among which the two large Sequoiadendron giganteum stand out in particular. Both trees have high energy levels, although one is significantly lower than the other.

Wächterstein: On the way to the Alte Bad Pfäfers, you come across the Wächterstein in the Tamin Gorge. For earlier man, nature was naturally alive. If a conspicuous stone with a noticeable glow stood by the path, it was attributed a special significance.

Badkapelle (healing place): The history of Switzerland's last surviving baroque baths begins in 1240 when, according to legend, two hunters discovered the warm spring. Over the years and centuries, the Pfäfers spa grew and became a sought-after, international health resort with a famous clientele. The originally baroque bath chapel, renovated in neo-Gothic style, is dedicated to St. Magdalene. Here you are in a place of great power. The intensity of the earth's radiation is very high, the quality of the energy is restorative and can support healing processes.

Spring grotto (healing place): Pass the Old Bath Pfäfers and go through the turnstile (entrance/coin slot) into the gorge. Help yourself to the small thermal water fountain in the tunnel, the water is healthy, its energies are high, the energy quality is restorative and degrading, which can bring the organism into balance if used frequently and regularly. From an energetic point of view, this is a healing place.
