Description

Directly into the alpine mountain experience. The mountain railways take you from the high-altitude Samnaun (1,846 m above sea level) to the Silvretta mountains. The transition to the Lower Engadine is demanding and demanding, but offers a wonderful mountain feeling right from the start. The Val Sinestra, formerly known as the "Landscape of the Year", is secluded and offers unspoilt nature to enjoy. Several suspension bridges ensure a varied running experience. The historic Kurhaus Val Sinestra is an architectural eye-catcher and invites you to take a little refreshment before taking the post bus or on foot to Sent or Scuol.

Directions

Viderjoch - Zeblasjoch - Fuorcla Val Gronda - Fimberpass - Griosch - Zuort - Suspension bridges - Val Sinestra

The tour starts on the Viderjoch, which we reach from Samnaun Ravaisch with a gondola ride and two chairlift rides. We still enjoy the mountain panorama without effort. From the Viderjoch it goes over the stony border ridge via the highest point Greitspitz at 2870 m to the Salaaser Kopf. The panoramic view of the Paznaun and Samnaun valleys is magnificent. At the Salaaser Kopf, the border ridge is left in the direction of Bergli with impressive gypsum sinkholes. A beautiful path leads almost flat above the Zeblaswiesen.
Now we follow the alpine road for a short distance in the direction of Zeblasjoch. Shortly after the Zeblasjoch we take the path on the left through the imposing Val Gronda to the Fuorcla Val Gronda. Slightly descending, the route continues towards the Heidelberger Hütte. Before we reach the hut, the path branches off to the left and climbs for about 2 km to the Fimber Pass, the last pass for the day. From here we enjoy the first steep and then flattening downhill into Val Chöglia.
From point 2009 the path becomes an alpine road, which we follow to Griosch. Here we take the path along the river towards Zuort, a historic hamlet. Shortly before Zuort you have a beautiful view of the earth pyramids. From here we follow the forest road towards Vnà until we reach the signpost that points to the right towards Suspension Bridges/Val Sinestra. On a beautiful forest path we follow the stream more or less below and cross the two suspension bridges. Under the imposing Hotel Val Sinestra we cross the Brancla for the last time and reach our destination. From the Hotel Val Sinestra we take the post bus to Sent. If you still have strength, continue on the forest road to Sent (6km).
