Description

The ideal starting point for this easy circular hike is Malans railroad station. Through the vineyards to the east, you reach the idyllic village center of Malans and finally the upper edge of the village, from where you have a magnificent view of the village and the Chur Rhine Valley. The route continues along the Buochwald forest to and through the wine-growing village of Jenins. After leaving the village, the circular hike leads through the vineyards down to the ponds at Siechastuda. The route is more or less flat between vineyards and meadows back to the starting point.

Hidden Gem

The Weiss Kreuz restaurant in Malans houses the largest magnum bottle wine cellar in Switzerland in its catacombs.
