Classic car festival and exhibition vernissage in Ilanz

To mark the 100th anniversary of the automobile in Graubünden, the Museum Regiunal Surselva is showing the exhibition "AutoGR100. Mobil atras la Surselva".
Driving has only been allowed in Graubünden for a hundred years. Since then, hardly anything has changed society and the landscape as much as motorized traffic. The exhibition uses numerous photographs from the population to tell of these changes in the Surselva: of the first postbus routes and the development of individual transport, of the new driving experience and the joy of the freedom gained, of road construction and the changes in transport, of the first garages and petrol pumps, of excursions and the close relationship with one's own vehicle, but also of the increasing car load instead of the desire to drive.
As part of the vernissage, the museum, in cooperation with Oldtimerland Surselva, will transform the old town of Ilanz into a classic car festival of a special kind. Visitors are cordially invited to marvel at the historic cultural asset of the car. In the afternoon, you can also take a ride in one of the cars to experience the driving experience up close!

Program with surprise effect:
9 a.m. Start and admission of the classic cars to the Ilanzer Städtli.
11 a.m. Opening of the new exhibition "AutoGR100. Mobil atras la Surselva"
