Description
The starting point for this option is the train station. On foot, you reach Maran via Eichhörnliweg. A narrow hiking trail leads to Prätschalp. Enjoy the magnificent view over the Rot Tritt to Ochsenalp along the way. After a refreshment at the mountain restaurant, the route continues over Scheidegg to the mid-station of the Arosa-Weisshorn aerial cableway. At this section, a detour to Hauptichopf is worthwhile. Over green meadows, the path goes down to Prätschli. Those who do not want to walk the last section downhill on foot can also take the local bus back to the village from here.
Hidden Gem
Scooters can be rented for the return trip from Ochsenalp to Arosa. This will surely convince your children (from 8 years / 140cm) to join a hike to Ochsenalp.
