We hike across the debris of the Flims Rockslide, the largest landslide event in the Alps. Unique waterways have formed within the rockslide debris. The mysterious, turquoise-glittering lakes hidden in the forest offer us insights into this underground water network.
From our meeting point, we enjoy a leisurely hike to Lag Prau Pulté, cross the Flims bypass road, and continue to Lag Prau Tuleritg and Lag la Cauma. At various stops, we will address questions such as: How was the age of the Flims Rockslide determined? How fast does groundwater flow? Why do the water levels of the lakes fluctuate?
